When Robbins LLP employees aren’t busy working hard on our cases, we enjoy giving back to our San Diego community. Whether we’re running in the Randy Jones 5K to help benefit individuals with developmental disabilities, cooking meals for children who are battling life-threatening illnesses at the Ronald McDonald House, or participating with I Love A Clean San Diego for a beach clean-up, our firm’s Community Committee helps bring Robbins LLP employees together to go #BeyondTheCourtroom and connect with colleagues and fellow San Diego community members while supporting worthwhile causes. Check out the list below to see some of the organizations we’ve helped in the past through various community events.
SAY San Diego: SAY San Diego’s mission is to partner with youth, adults, families, and communities to reach their full potential. Their vision is opportunity, equity and well-being for all San Diegans. Robbins LLP has worked to support SAY San Diego by participating in their Play for Say campaign for over five years.
Feeding San Diego: Feeding San Diego is committed to a culture of responsibility and dignity and to leading our local community in the fight against hunger by efficiently providing access to food and nutritious meals. Feeding San Diego builds local and national partnerships with purpose. Robbins LLP helps support Feeding San Diego by participating in their Food From the Bar campaign as well as volunteering at their facilities.
Ronald McDonald House: Ronald McDonald House Charities of San Diego provides a “home-away-from-home” for families with children being treated for serious, often life-threatening conditions at local hospitals. Their vision is to provide a welcoming and convenient home base where families may take care of their basic needs so they can better focus on what really matters: caring for their critically ill or injured child. Robbins LLP helps support the Ronald McDonald House by cooking meals for these families.
Jewish Family Services: Jewish Family Service is a client-centered, impact-driven organization working to build a stronger, healthier, more resilient San Diego. Founded in 1918, they are one of San Diego’s most impactful non-profit human services agencies. Last year, they served more than 39,500 clients, including over 17,000 asylum seekers at the JFS Migrant Family Shelter. Their broad network of staff, volunteers, supporters, and community partners are committed to the pursuit of one shared goal: helping individuals and families in San Diego Move Forward. Robbins LLP helps support the JFS through financial donations that go directly to their Hands Up Food Pantry for Military Families, and by providing and serving meals for their Safe Parking Program.
Surfrider Foundation: The Surfrider Foundation is dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of the world’s ocean, waves and beaches through a powerful activist network. Some of the reasons they are so passionate about the need to protect our ocean, waves and beaches include water quality, plastic pollution, and coastal preservation. Robbins LLP helps support the Surfrider foundation by participating in local beach cleanups. Robbins LLP has worked to support the Surfrider Foundation by participating in their annual Morning After July 5th beach clean up.
I Love a Clean San Diego: I Love A Clean San Diego leads and inspires our community to actively conserve and enhance the environment through example, outreach, and local involvement. Their vision is a zero waste, litter-free, and environmentally engaged San Diego region. Robbins LLP has worked to support I Love a Clean San Diego by participating in various beach and coastal cleanups.
The Rosie Network: Empowering Veterans and Military spouses to realize the American Dream of small business ownership through their award-winning shared office incubators, Service2CEO training program, and Rosie Chapters. Their mission is to help our military community establish their value and sense of purpose through entrepreneurship and small business ownership. Robbins LLP contributes to The Rosie Network by providing financial support to help our service members create small businesses.
San Diego Blood Bank: The San Diego Blood Bank helps save lives with quality blood services in partnership with the community. Robbins LLP helps to support the San Diego Blood Bank by sponsoring annual blood drives.
Working Wardrobe: Working Wardrobe does everything in their power to help men, women, young adults and veterans overcome difficult challenges so they can achieve the dignity of work, and the Power of a Paycheck. Robbins LLP helps support Working Wardrobes through clothing drives.
Home of Guiding Hands: HGH believes a self-directed life is a birthright for all. HGH maintains a commitment to best practices in their program delivery and service provision. They are committed to maximizing the independence, productivity and quality of life for individuals with developmental disabilities. Robbins LLP has helped support HGH through fundraising events such as the Randy Jones 5k run.
MCRD Boot Camp Challenge: All of the proceeds from Boot Camp Challenge go to Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS), which supports Marines and their families by providing morale, welfare, and recreational programming. Robbins LLP helps to support the MCRD by participating in the annual Boot Camp Challenge.
Leukemia & Lymphoma Society: As the leading source of free blood cancer information, education and support for patients, survivors, families and healthcare professionals, LLS helps patients navigate their cancer treatment and ensures they have access to quality, affordable and coordinated care. Research will help us achieve an end to cancer. In the meantime, patients need help before, during and after their diagnosis and treatment. LLS is the leading nonprofit that does just that. Robbins LLP contributes to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society by providing financial support to help fight blood cancer.
Rady’s Children Hospital: To restore, sustain and enhance the health and developmental potential of children through excellence in care, education, research and advocacy. They will be a leader, recognized nationally and internationally, for excellence in patient care, education, research and advocacy. Robbins LLP contributes to the Rady Children’s Hospital by participating in fundraising events and providing financial support to help provide care for children in San Diego.
Boys and Girls Club of Hawaii: The mission of Boys & Girls Clubs of Hawaii is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. Their vision is to provide a world class Club-Experience that assures success is within reach of every young person who walks through their doors, with all members on track to graduate from high school with a plan for the future and demonstrating good character and citizenship while living a healthy lifestyle.
